Web www.newcastleleisure.co.uk The Berghaus Wall was built by Bendcrete in 1991 for Newcastle City Council and has enjoyed continued support from Berghaus for publicity, events and competitions. The wall is situated in the City Centre within Eldon Leisure, it enjoys easy access by bus train and metro.
The Berghaus Wall is still popular and very accessible. Forty metres in length
and some 5 metres high, the wall contains a climbing challenge for all ages and
ability levels.
New Mats at The Berghaus Wall in Eldon Leisure Centre have not made the problems any easier but you certainly feel like you can try harder! The mats, which made to the World Bouldering Championships specification, were installed this week. The Berghaus Wall has been brought bang up to date as the state of the art facility that it has been since it opened in 1991. Take care though you can still hurt yourself if you fall off awkwardly! Reported 24th November 2005 Brilliant red mats at the Berghaus Wall provide an excellent landing zone
