Situation and Character This imposing cliff is in Wensleydale and is situated about a mile to the North-East of Askrigg.
History The first recorded activity was by P.Woodyer, many other possibilities exist.
Access and ApproachesIt is best approached by following the minor road from Askrigg via Howgate to Nappa Scar. Permission should be sought from Mr. T. Metcalfe of Nappa Scar on Wensleydale 50342. Up to now permission to climb has always been granted.
The Climbs The crag consists of a Main Wall of smooth, compact limestone which has a quarried appearance.
